Last Thursday, Ethan was chosen to be the Line Leader for his Kindergarten class. This means that whenever the class is supposed to line up, Ethan got to be in the front and lead the line. Simple enough. Ethan takes his responsibilities very seriously. When recess was over, the class started lining up, and Ethan was running as quickly as he could to assume his leadership position. He ran a little too fast, and tripped on the sidewalk. The poor thing didn't even have time to put his hands down to catch his fall. He still managed to make it to the front of the line, and when the teacher saw him, she said, "Ethan, what happened? You're bleeding!" The school nurse called me to come, she was a little concerned because his eyes were dilated, and he was a little out of it. When I got there he was doing better, but didn't feel like going to class for the rest of the day. The rest of the afternoon was "Ethan's day". He got to play Playstation, and watch his favorite shows. He is doing great now, and his scars are almost healed. His biggest concern was if he would be better for Halloween. My biggest concern is this is probably the first of many many calls from the school nurse with my house-full of boys!!!
