So starting August 7th, Joseph's family came into town for a sort of make shift reunion. All of his siblings were there except one. (He's 9th of ten kids, so there were a lot of people here that week!) We had a picnic in the park one evening, and we went up to Mantua for a camp out another evening. Mantua was a really fun night because each family had to come up with their own skit, and we had some hilarious skits!~ Sarah's family and ours were the only ones brave enough to stay the night, (the Roylances are not known for their camping skills) and I'm so glad we did! We had a great time, and Ethan loves to sleep in a tent. We had a Girl's Party at my home one day where everyone brings a small item or new ideas to share with each other. Our sis-in-law brought Sushi for us to try, and I actually liked it. I've tried it before, but this was crab meat and cooked. Also, right in the middle of this partying week Alex broke his leg! We had gone to Joseph's parents ward for church on Aug 9th, and we went to my parents' after for dinner. They have one step down into their family room, and Alex wasn't paying attention and walked right off the edge. It looked like an innocent enough fall, but when he wouldn't stop crying and just wanted to be held, we knew something more was wrong. It took us a long time to figure out what had happened and where he was hurt because he didn't swell or bruise at all. Finally when we calmed him down, he tried to stand and kept pulling his right leg up like a little puppy. We called our bishop who is a doctor on our way home and asked his opinion, which he said he would probably wait until the morning to take him in instead of the ER. So, when he was still favoring his leg in the morning, we took him to the Urgent Care, and sure enough, he broke his leg down by his ankle. He fractured his Fibula (non-weight bearing) bone twice and bowed his Tibula (weight bearing) which is considered a brake for children. He was in a splint for the first week, and needless to say, we didn't take him on the camping trip, my parents took him over night. That next Friday, he took him to a specialist at McKay Dee and they put him in a full cast up to his thigh. They are trying to slow him down a bit so he won't try to walk on it or put too much pressure on it, but they don't know Alex very well. He's already limping around on it and trying to balance with it. Luckily he went back to crawling most of the time so hopefully his leg can heal quickly! This just added another element to our crazy busy week! We also went to Lagoon and stayed up way too late visiting and partying! We're sad to have everyone gone, it seems like these vacations come and go too quickly!

Poor kid! My niece did the same thing at my moms. She fell down one step and broke her leg. I hope it heels quickly.
