Ethan looks a little too happy with this root beer in his hand!

Happy New Year's!

Alex stayed up til midnight, and was a little suprised by the celebration outside!

Ethan and Aunt Esther running around outside rining in the New Year!

The Aftermath...what a wild party! Only root beer, of course!

Caught cheating in Mafia!

Thanks Uncle Chad!!!

This was one of our most memorable New Year's. We had Joseph's sister Esther and her family visiting from Washington, and his other sister Rebecca was hosting a party for her in-laws for New Year's Eve. We decided to combine parties for a while, and we played a game Joseph put together called Mafia. He divided us up into six teams. We started by driving to Albertson's to ask for Ashley at the Customer Service desk and ordering the Daily Special. She gave us a packet to start our game. There were 17 locations all over Kaysville with a "Contraband Pick Up Location" which had two IBC Root Beer bottles at each . The goal was to have the most Root Beer at the end of the game. If you saw another team, you flashed your flashlight or your car lights on them to "pull them over". This was Ethan's favorite part. We had to yell at the other team, "Get out of the car you filthy animal!" We then had one minute to raid their car and try to find any bottles we could. This night turned into such a riot! People were pulling over cars that weren't involved in the game by accident, and Joseph's parents actually got caught cheating by buying some root beer at the store! We had such a great night, and we finished up with root beer floats for everyone. Our boys are such Roylances when it comes to staying up late. They are night owls!! Alex even stayed up to ring in the New Year. He was a little confused by all of the pots and pans we were banging outside, though. I had to take a picture of our table the next morning, because I can safely say we've never had a party with aftermath that looked like that before!
