Oh how we love this little boy! He is so full of fun and adventure! Everything is fun or funny to him, especially tormenting his older brothers. Tanner loves to climb on everything he can. For about a month, we had our barstools turned upside down, or hiding in our office. He is completely fearless when it comes to falling or jumping. He likes to climb on something in front of us and then smile for our attention, and then fall so we have to catch him. This turns out to be a scary situation if we miss the warning smile. One time I had fallen asleep on the recliner and he climbed up and fell right on my pregnant belly. OUCH! At his 18 month checkup, I was concerned about how clumsy he seems. He is constantly falling down or bumping into things. As I asked the doctor about this, he he was observing Tanner and he just smiled. He said there was nothing wrong with Tanner, he is just trying to keep up with his big brothers and is too much of a hurry to think. At the time, Tanner had climbed up and was standing in his stroller and pushing buttons on the scale in the room, nearly falling over. Tanner always has a sweet smile on his face, and a tender heart. He sometimes hits people (with a smile) and then feels bad, so he gives the person a "love" or hug to say sorry. He is starting to say quite a few words, most of which are only understood by me, but at least he's trying. He loves to tease people, just for a big reaction. I substituted in Nursery yesterday, and he was the silent teaser. He would sneak up to this particular little girl, (who gives big reactions) and steal a puzzle piece from her just to giggle and run away to hide under a table. He LOVES to play outside, and since our backyard is completely safe and kid-tested, he of course prefers to play in the front yard. He just loves to be free and have no boundaries. He seems so small to us still, but I'm sure will seem like a big boy in a couple of months when he is a big brother!
