Thanksgiving

Relaxing for a minute with Tanner.

Tanner at one month. What a cutie!

Our thankful tree. We added leaves everyday. Ethan loved this, and it helped him realize how blessed we are!

Our crazy man Alex discovering ranch dressing! He's sitting ON the dining table, his favorite spot during dinner time.

I left the room to go shower, and this is what they looked like when I came out. Notice the marker on Joseph and Ethan, sometimes I can't tell who's in charge!

Thanksgiving came and went so quickly for our little family. Time seems to be speeding up, and milestones are flying by. Tanner turned one month old and Alex turned 18 months old right around Thanksgiving. Tanner is our Champion sleeper. He is our best baby yet at this age. He only wakes up once during the night, and that's usually because of one of the other non-sleepers in the family. Seriously, our house is like a three ring circus when the sun goes down. In the past month we've had Alex teething his "I" teeth, Ethan sick and throwing up, and Joseph with his sleep walking/talking incidents occurring almost nightly. Hopefully things will slow down a little now that Joseph has a new job (details to follow!), and everyone is feeling better.
Tanner at one month:
He is such a calm, sweet baby. He has a soft, almost hoarse sounding cry when he is hungry or needs a diaper change. He gave me his first real smile the day after Thanksgiving. He started cooing right when he turned a month. He started tracking me with his eyes across the room. He likes to be bundled, and loves his binky already! He is really tough when it comes to being smacked in the face by his 18 month old brother. His hair has grown about 1/2 inch since he was born, (I measure on my finger!). He has two long awake times; first thing in the morning, and after his brothers go to bed at night. I think he sleeps so much during the day in self-defense! He loves to be held, and we love to hold him!!! He is so precious!
Alex at 18 months:
He likes to wake up very early in the morning, much to our dismay. He doesn't like to watch television. He is very curious about new things, but gets adorably scared sometimes. He has a love/hate relationship with snow. He wants to go outside all day, so when I decide to bundle him up, he lasts out in the snow for about 5 minutes before crying and wanting to come in. He is SO busy. He loves to open all of our drawers in the kitchen and reach up to see what's in them. He loves to pull everything out of our game cupboard. He likes to play with anything Ethan plays with. He still is very attached to the binky. (Any suggestions?) He will try most foods, and has no problem spitting out what he doesn't like. AKA: green beans. He has a hot little temper when he doesn't get what he wants. He can melt your heart two minutes later. It's seriously like a switch. He only takes one nap now. He is the best cuddler right before bedtime. He has a smile that can get him out of trouble every time. He is a little sweetheart!
We have so much to be thankful for this year. We are thankful for a new job!!! Joseph got a job with a company called Otsuka. He will be calling on Psychiatrists in South SL and Provo areas. He will be home much of this month and next doing home-based training. (YEAH!) We are thankful for trials and the lessons we learn from them. We are most thankful for our family. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, ours couldn't have been better!

The marker one cracks me up! So fun with little ones around! It is amazing how much time they take when they are so tiny! Cherish every moment! (As I sit bugged that my kids keep getting out of bed..) I will try to do the same! Enjoy!
